I agree Mangoman. I asked very similar questions to a woman from Greenpeace who shoved a picture of a slaughtered whale in my face on the way to work the other morning. She had no response apart from a blank face and some mumbling about how she thought eating whales was disgusting.

I think you're right. It is us being insensitive to other cultures and their practices. Done in a sustainable manner I don't see the problem with whaling.
